Welcome to Trisha Stone Art
Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary
At Trisha Stone Art, I believe that every thread has a story. Through my unique practice, I weave together the worlds of science, sustainability, and identity to create art that challenges perceptions and celebrates our interconnectedness.
About My Work
My current journey centres on Recycled Genes—a thought-provoking series of photomontages crafted from 23 pairs of recycled jeans. Each piece is meticulously stitched and photographed, transforming discarded denim into dynamic, new forms. This denim, a universal material, evolves to tell stories of identity, memory, and renewal.
Artistic Vision
Drawing inspiration from the 23 chromosomes that make up human DNA, my Recycled Genes series playfully yet profoundly explores the threads that unite us all. By giving denim a second life, I highlight themes of regeneration and transformation, inviting viewers to see how identity and material are intricately woven together.
My Mission
At the heart of Trisha Stone Art is a mission to create compelling, thought-provoking work that bridges the biological and the cultural. Through my art, I hope to inspire reflection on how we, as humans, shape—and are shaped by—the world around us.
Join me on this creative journey as we discover the extraordinary in the ordinary, one thread at a time.
